Aaron Yan - Biography
Aaron Yan (traditional Chinese: 炎亞綸; simplified Chinese: 炎亚纶; pinyin: Yán Yǎlún), born Aaron Wu Keng-Lin (traditional Chinese: 吳庚霖; simplified Chinese: 吴庚霖; pinyin: Wú Gēnglín; born November 20, 1986) in Taiwan, is a Taiwanese Mandopop singer, commercial model and actor. He is the youngest member of Taiwanese Mandopop vocal quartet boy band Fahrenheit.
In December 2005, he formed a boy band named Fahrenheit with three other Taiwanese artists, including Wu Chun, Jiro Wang, and Calvin Chen. In September 2006, Fahrenheit released their eponymous debut studio album, Fahrenheit, and they won a Hito Music Award for Best Boy Band.
In 2007, Yan reprised his roles in the sequels The X-Family and They Kiss Again. In November 2008, Yan played his first leading role in Taiwanese suspense drama, Mysterious Incredible Terminator. He also starred in Love Buffet and Gloomy Salad Days.
He was forcibly outed as gay to the broader public in November 2018 after allegedly dating three men simultaneously. Photos and text messages concerning the actor-singer’s alleged three-timing were leaked by one boyfriend who allegedly found out he was not Yan’s one-and-only partner.
Yan released a personal statement apologizing for the situation but not directly addressing the issue of multiple simultaneous dating.
Yan's manager dismissed the allegations, saying the haircuts in the photos were inconsistent. The manager said that “there is no cheating going on" and that they "will be discussing how to deal with these fake reports with our lawyer.” One of Yan's ex-boyfriends also disputed the allegation that he had dated all three men at the same time.
