Aislinn Derbez is a Mexican actress born and raised in Mexico City, to the artist Gabriela Michel and Eugenio Derbez, who is considered to be one of the greatest and most popular Mexican actors and comedians alive. She is the granddaughter of the Mexican star Silvia Derbez, and sister of the artists Vadhir Derbez, Jose Eduardo Derbez and Aitana Derbez, she has also 2 half sisters from her mother's second marriage. Aislinn is of Mexican from her maternal grandmother and paternal grandfather, and French from her paternal grandmother and maternal grandfather. Derbez got married to the Mexican/American star Mauricio Ochmann in 2016. Aislinn received the bachelor of Visual Arts at the School of Visual Arts in New York City. She lived in NYC for 4 years, where she studied theatre, photography and writing as well. Derbez started as a model at the age of 15. Her acting career started after her studies in NYC, in 2009, in the Mexican film industry, participating in several movies and TV series in Mexico, South America and Europe. She has starred about 15 commercial and independent films from 2009 to 2016, and several TV series as well. She starred the film "A LA Mala" which was a top ten box office hit. Today Derbez is one of the most popular and well-known Mexican actresses of her generation. In 2016 she moved to Los Angeles and has participated in independent films and series like "Win it All" starring with Jake Johnson, directed by Joe Swanberg, and starring the Netflix anthology series "EASY". Derbez and her husband Ochmann created the production company "A Toda Madre Entertainment" in California, and are producing content for Mexico and the Hispanic market in the US.
