Carolina Fadic was born on February 27, 1974. Fadic Carolina Maturana was a Chilean actress and TV presenter.
She played the leading role in the soap operas Rompecorazón (1994), Stupid Cupid (1995), Green Gold (1997), Something is changing (1999) and Sabor a ti (2000), since then it began to be considered one of the most actresses profitable of the television industry. Her film debut was with the film La Rubia de Kennedy by director Arnaldo Valsecchi, and her last film was Antonia (2001).
Early on Wednesday, October 9, 2002, Fadic attended the first party held by the Christian Dior Couture House in Chile, organized for the launch of the exclusive Addict perfume, created by designer John Galliano. In the place, the actress was accompanied by her friend and coworker Patricia Larraín, with whom they were going to make notes and interviews for the show program Close-up - according to some witnesses of the event, Fadic was affected for severe headaches during her stay at the party.
The actress retired shortly before midnight heading to her home - located in Martín de Zamora street, Las Condes -, accompanied by her boyfriend, journalist Eduardo Kuthe. Hours later, at 0:54 in the morning - as recorded in the Emergency Help Service records - Kuthe called the ambulance, as Fadic suffered severe headaches. As Help's advisor Roberto Mardones said in an interview: "[...] The actress had a very high fever, about 41 degrees." Fadic had seizures while going to the clinic, promptly suffered a cardiac arrest, and was intubated emergency. The actress arrived in a state of unconsciousness at the Santa María ClinicSantiago, a victim of a stroke, which caused multiple strokes and increases in body temperature and, 56 hours later, death.
