She was previously married to Tony Randall from 17 November 1995 to until his death on 17 May 2004. The duo met when she was an intern at the National Actors Theatre. At the time, she was just 23 and he was in his 70s. She disliked the actor because of the things she had heard and was able to tell him to his face how she felt about him. Luckily, he liked her bravery.
They have two children together; April 11, 1997: first child born at 12:00am EST, named Julia Laurette Randall. She was named after his mom Julia and actress Laurette Taylor, who Tony says is "the best actress I've ever seen in my life.". Second child: Jefferson Salvini Randall, born on June 15, 1998. Named after comic actor Joseph Jefferson and Italian tragic actor Tommasso Salvini.
