Jim Wright (born December 12, 1935) is a former American football player and coach. He served as the head football coach at Wichita State University from 1974 to 1978, compiling a record of 17–37–1. Wright was born on December 12, 1935 in Edinburg, Texas. He played college football as a quarterback at Texas A&M; University from 1954 to 1956.
