Panos Mouzourakis - Biography
Panos Mouzourakis, is a Greek musician - actor. Born in Zurich, Switzerland, Mouzourakis came first in Greece at the age of eight, in Thessaloniki with his family. Panos, was always attracted by music, form an early age. At the age of 17 he finally began to appear in small music stages in Thessaloniki and Chalkidiki ( ex: En Elladi, Kingston, Fun-key, Papagalos, Inside, Cafe Americain, Idrogeios), as a singer with the companionship of his guitar. His first appearances were solo's or as part of several bands (ex:«Oi Aparadextoi», «Aba-ftistoi mikroi pitsilotoi») His career started when he decided to come to Athens in 2002. From the first moment, he made impressions and got hired to "Stavros to Notou club", one of the biggest and most recognized music halls in Athens. There he continued playing for the next four years, creating a unique sense with his performance and attract the attention and love of the audience. Meanwhile, in 2004, he starts acting lessons to "Drasi" drama school owned by Costas Ntalianis. By the summer of the same year he participates in live concerts with Dionisis Savopoulos. In 2005, while continuing his lives at "Stavros to Notou club", he makes his debut in theatre with the play of Basso Basiliou "Ierotelesties tis Zoyglas". Mouzourakis, continues his career as an actor, as he participates the same summer at "Acharnis", a play directed by Dionisis Savopoulos. This play toured around Greece, Cyprous and gave some performance to Vienna and Tokyo's international forum. In 2006, Mouzourakis and his college from "Stavros to Notou club", George Mylonas, organise their own theatrical play. It was entitled "ProvaTA kommatia". It was a performance combining music and theatre elements, and it was presented in "X-EDRA", from September 2006 until February 2007. At the same time, Panos , stands up as a basic singer in "Uplift Mofo party band", a group of exceptional musicians. Together they presented an outstanding performance dedicated to Red Hot Chilly Peppers at Gagarin, having great success. The same year, he makes his first appearance on a tv series with John Zouganelis "Gianaki Omorfopaido". Also he becomes member of a music theatre group, called "Heros". The same winter (2006) he plays at "little Palace" with the group, working a play entitle "Heros". The performances continued for two yeas. Mouzourakis at this time has already gained the respect of critics and audience. In March 2007, Panos, his first album, "Guess who", comes out. His next step is to takes part in a performance of Konstantinos Rigos, "American Dream", presented in the National Opera of Greece, on spring 2007. In summer he becomes part of a summer live program with George Mylonas and Fye. By the end of 2007,he organizes with Mylonas and Leonidas Balafas a new music project, entitled " Arxi dia ton trion", which was presented in Oxygen music hall, until Easter 2008. Meanwhile Mouzourakis joins in a Mega channel series "S1NGLES" as "tzampa". At the same time his second album is in progress. In 2009, he continues his carrier as an actor, in Christophoros Papakaliatis tv series, "Four", playing the role of Aris. In 2010 he gives his voice to a cartoon character, named, Menippous in a cartoon series of George Fidis and John Tsitsonis in MEGA channel "ouk an laveis para tou mi exontos". In 2011 his second album comes out entitled "flying record" and starts concerts at "Stavros tou Notou club". During that summer, he starts touring around Greece, in order to introduce and promote his new record. Mouzourakis was also awarded at Mad VMA with Kostis Maraveyas, for the single "fila me akoma". With the opening of the new Tv season, Panos take a new role, as a representative of "Amstel Live". An emission in Sky Channel. From October 2011 until February 2012 he sings in "Stavros tou Notou club" with Vangelis Asimakis, while he spends the rest of the winter period touring around Greece and Cyprus Mouzourakis, continues his tours having by his side Apostolos Balaroutsos in May 2012. During winter period of 2012 until spring 2013 Panos joins in a successful music performance of Eleni Gasoula with Thanasis Aleuras entitled,"Apanta". The performance took place at "Stavros tou Notou plus" and it was produced by both actors and Gasoula. Meanwhile, he participates into another theatrical play, "Hangover 4 Athens-Kalamata" dirested by Alexander Rhgas in Athens Theatre. By the end of the summer, Panos creates a new band by changing the sound of his live performances, into funkier and swing rhythms and sounds. The result of this transformation was the creation of "Big Band project", with the collaboration of "One of a Kind" In December 2013 his third album is out, entitled "STOXOS". At the same time and until January 2014 he is part of a new music performance of Eleni Gasouka, "Brulesque". This time with Athanasis Aleuras and "One of a kind" at Fuzz music hall. In 2014, Panos was added in the group of "Geneon tis nyxtas" ("braves of night"), and started a live concerts at "Akti Peireos" with Savopoulos, Maxairitsas and Zouganelis. In June he presents a new song with Pantelis Ampazis called "Madame Madame" at Mad VMA awards, bringing the upside down in the arena. After VMA's he tours with Dionisis Savopoulos and Maxairitsas successfully, around Greece.
