Toshiko Fujita - Biography

Toshiko Fujita (藤田 淑子, Fujita Toshiko, born April 5, 1950 in Dalian, China) is a Japanese voice actress. She currently works at Aoni Production. Since the age of 6, Fujita worked in radio and television as an actress, singer and comedian. In addition, she also sang the theme songs of animated serise.
She also dubbed several English-language films in Japanese, as well as lent her voice in TV animation, such as "Ikkyu-san" (a holiday), "Kitarez Encyclopedia" (Kiteretsu ), "Digimon Adventure" (Yagami Taichi). She was widely used especially in Toei Animation works and other Japanese animated works.

In 1984, she received the 1st Grand Prix of Japan Anime for "Best Award of Voice Actor". In the later years of her life, her work was limited due to her poor physical condition.
