Vange Tapia - Biography
Vange Tapia is an Actress, VO talent and Host who initiated her career as a model and actress for TV commercials in Mexico City where she was born and raised. She gained credibility from her first commercial, directed by Fred Clapp from Cineconcepto (Cinematronics, which led her to the opportunity to work directly under the guidance of director Francisco Murguía from Cine Concepto as well and the creativity of Gonzalo Tassier of the former Bozell in what became a series of award winning TV commercials for TELMEX. Vange remembers them all with great fondness.In those commercials, Vange's famous phrase "¡No Inventes!" characterized her as the classic Preppy/Valley Girl ("Fresa"), which gave her critical acclaim and introduced her to the Voice Over industry, film and TV. She was also invited for many projects in lead roles for Mexican television; among them, the suspense series "Hora Marcada" -Episode: No Retornable, directed by Oscar Winner Alfonso Cuarón under the photography of Oscar Winner Emmanuel Lubezki and with the script writing of Carlos Cuarón.Unfortunately and for health reasons, soon she was forced to truncate her plans and job offers and had to move to a coastal climate outside of Mexico City.It was in Puerto Vallarta where she redirected her creative energies and found her second passion; Customer Service in the Resort Industry. First as a Gentle Organizer (G.O), planning different activities for the hotel guests and then as a Master Of Ceremonies (MC) in the hotel nightly shows. Vange was instrumental in creating the Mexican chapter of the International Concierge Association (Les Clefs D'Or) with the former President of Les Clefs D'Or USA, Marjorie Silverman, as a godmother. Vange was also the President of the Concierge guild in Los Cabos, BCS. As a 5-star hotel concierge, she hosted celebrities from all over the world.But her passion of telling stories, drew her back to her original path. Achieving clarity of her two passions - being in front of the camera and traveling - she found in hosting and writing a great opportunity to combine both professions. Currently she hosts and writes for the online Travel Channel for Brand USA/Discover America (the US Convention and Visitors Bureau) and for Rolling Tworistas.Vange is fluent in Spanish (Mother tongue), English & French, plus speaks conversational Italian. She is happily married and lives in the City of Los Angeles, CA, doing what she likes the most.
