Comedian Annabelle Gurwitch takes social issues and turns them into provocative entertainment. Her first book "Fired!" was deemed a "merry compendium of failure" by The Washington Post and her eponymous documentary "Fired!" has played everywhere from The Showtime Network to The Labor Department on Capitol Hill. She has been a columnist for The Nation Magazine and a contributing writer and commentator on Day to Day and All Things Considered on NPR targeting everything from politics to pop culture.Annabelle gained a loyal comedic following during her 7-year stint co-hosting the popular "Dinner & a Movie" on TBS. She spent the last three years hosting the carbon foot printing series "WA$TED" for The Planet Green Network. She has hosted shows for The Style Channel, Sci-Fi, The VH1, ABC, The Game Show Network, and as the anchor for the award winning "Not Necessarily the News" on HBO.Her opinionating on shows includes: "Real Time with Bill Maher," "The Today Show," "The CBS Early Show," "Showbiz Tonight," "CNN In the Money," "Fox and Friends," "Politically Incorrect," "Joy Behar," and "Wanda Sykes."
