Jeremy Applegate (August 29, 1965 – March 23, 2000) was an American television and film actor who was born as Paul Boyce. He was named by his sisters after Paul McCartney of the Beatles fame. He changed his name to Jeremy Applegate in 1983.
Applegate's biggest role was Peter Dawson in Heathers in 1988. Heathers is a 1988 American dark comedy film written by Daniel Waters and directed by Michael Lehmann. It stars Winona Ryder and Christian Slater. The film portrays four teenage girls—three of whom are named Heather—in a clique at an Ohio high school. In 1996, he had a minor role in The Cable Guy.
He appeared in the role of 'Peter Dawson,' the straight laced friend to Veronica (played by Wynona Ryder), in the hit movie "Heathers" in 1989. Through the 1980s, he had many guest star and recurring roles on shows like "My Two Dads," "Our House," and "21 Jump Street."
