Jess Davies - Biography
Jess Davies (born 11 April 1993 ) is a Welsh model of Aberystwyth which has appeared on the cover of magazines such as Zoo, Nuts and FHM. Jess Davies grew up in a tiny village in Wales, and as of 2013 was a student at the University of South Wales (walesonline.co.uk). She went from beauty pageants (where she was a finalist for Miss Wales) to the pages of men’s magazines. She said, “Since the age of around 16 I’ve been involved in pageantries and things like Miss Wales. I’ve always wanted to do modeling but basically because of my body shape it was only ever going to be glamour modeling."
In July 2015 S4C broadcast a program called Jess the Model and Page Three. By 2015 it appeared on the hard shots of Hot Shots. In September, 2017 she was on S4C's program celebrating Merched y Wawr at the age of 50 where she said she would join Merched y Wawr when she's herself.
She studied Sociology at the University of Glamorgan, where she wrote a dissertation on 'Sexualizing women in the media'. In an interview with the BBC she said "It was difficult to share my time between modeling and university. Sometimes I had to turn down modeling jobs because I had essays to do, but it's possible."
In 2010 she competed in Miss Wales but she was not successful; however several contracts and work followed that. She is considering moving to the LA to develop her career. In 2017 she had a swimwear and yoga business and was living in Cardiff.
