Paquita Torres is a Spanish model and actress who was born on April 22, 1948. At eighteen she becomes Miss Spain 1966, representing the province of Malaga, where she worked, for a year later becoming Miss Europe 1967. In addition, she was a finalist in the Miss Universe pageant 1966.
She is known for Mi marido y sus complejos (1969), Objetivo: bi-ki-ni (1969) and Los que tocan el piano (1968).
She is married to ex- basketball player Clifford Luyk, with whom she had 3 children; Sergio, Estefanía and Alex. Clifford Luyk is an American-born former basketball player and coach, who played professionally in Spain and Europe from 1962 to 1978. He played college basketball for the University of Florida.
Sergio Luyk died at 36 years of age. The son of Clifford Luyk and Paquita Torres has died as a result of cancer that he had been fighting for a year. The sad news has been confirmed by sources close to the Real Madrid basketball team, where Sergio was trained in the lower categories, and in which he played also his father, Clifford Luyk .
