Robert Earl "Bob" Filner (born September 4, 1942) is an American politician from San Diego, California. He was the 35th Mayor of San Diego, serving from December 2012 until August 2013. Filner resigned less than a year after taking office amid multiple allegations of sexual harassment. He later pleaded guilty to state charges of false imprisonment and battery.
