Katherine "Kat" Hillard is an Australian teenager transplanted to California because of her father's job. She previously competed in the Pan Global Games for diving, suffering a head injury which cost Australia the gold medal.After being forced to spy on the Power Rangers by Rita Repulsa, Kat is accepted into the group and personally chosen by Kimberly Hart to succeed her as the Pink Ranger.
