And like every parent, I want the very best for my kids.But I also know they share this planet with millions of children who have no advantages and little hope. Their pain and despair shames us all and makes our world less secure. I’m in the fortunate position that I can do something to help. I believe that’s my responsibility and my privilege.“We hope that our work inspires the generations to come to stand up and take future in their own hands.”I created the Foundation in 2007 because of my determination to give something back and the conviction that my professional experience could be channelled into new thinking and funding for some of the toughest challenges that face our world.Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to work with some incredible people and partner organizations, such as the Mercury Fund for Emergency Response, which provides a dedicated pool of resources in the critical early stages of humanitarian crises and emergencies. While in the longer term, we work closely with communities who may have lost hope, offering advice, counsel and investment to bring real improvements to people’s lives.It’s true that there is no simple answer to the world’s most pressing problems, there is no magic bullet. But I truly believe that improving our wonderul world is possible. Together, our small actions make a huge difference.
