Bill Nagy - Biography
Bill Nagy was born on February 21, 1921 in Hungary as Paul William Nagy. He was an actor, known for Goldfinger (1964), Danger Man (1960) and The Long Shadow (1961). The Long Shadow is a 1961 British second feature, a drama film directed by Peter Maxwell and starring John Crawford, Susan Hampshire and Willoughby Goddard. It was filmed at Pinewood Studios.
He first appeared on Coronation Street as Joe Baumgarten in June 1961 and then had a recurring role between April 1967 and December 1970 as American GI Gregg Flint. His other credits include Danger Man, The Avengers and the 1964 James Bond film Goldfinger. Goldfinger is a 1964 British spy film and the third installment in the James Bond series produced by Eon Productions, starring Sean Connery as the fictional MI6 agent James Bond. It is based on the novel of the same name by Ian Fleming.
Born in Hungary, he was brought up in Toronto. He married former actress Janet McFarlane and his first job was as a professional exhibition ballroom dancer. He went to drama school in New York.
He died on January 19, 1973 in London, England.
