I am a professional photographer, based in Los Angeles. I am not Joan Allen, the actress, however, we did bond once over having the same name and she's lovely. Thank you, though, for all the "interesting" messages I receive from the fans. My father was a police officer and kept a camera in his squad car. The results? Awesome photos during the 60's of squad car races in the Mojave Desert, crime scenes and some portraits. Ask me to see them, it will motivate me to get them scanned...My grandmother had a darkroom in her basement and would develop and print images with my mom in the 40's. Mom never told me this story until after I had taken my first photography class. My dog was rescued from Tijuana for $40 and a bag of carrots. This is actually a funny story.
