Jose De Vega was an American actor, dancer who was born on January 4, 1934. He was an actor and assistant director, known for West Side Story (1961), The Karate Kid Part II (1986) and Island of the Lost (1967).
Handsome son of a Filipino family, an accomplished dancer and choreographer. He is well remembered as the scorned and vengeful suitor Chino from West Side Story (1961) as well as Tatu, the Indian youth in Bonanza: To Kill a Buffalo (1966) and Ernie Gordon, friend of Chad Gates (Elvis Presley) in Blue Hawaii (1961).
Also featured in dozens of other mystery, suspense and comedy television series episodes.
