Lady Emmeline Stuart Wortley Mackenzie - Biography

Lady Emmeline Stuart-Wortley née Manners was an English poet and writer, best known for her Travels in the United States, etc. During 1849 and 1850. She was editor of The Keepsake in 1837 and 1840. She was a daughter of John Manners, 5th Duke of Rutland and on 17 February 1831, she married Hon. Charles Stuart-Wortley-Mackenzie, a son of James Stuart-Wortley-Mackenzie, 1st Baron Wharncliffe. They had a daughter, Lady Victoria Welby.
