Mary Mackey - Biography
Mary has been acting in Commercials, Industrials, Television, Film & Stage for over 30 years. Her career took off in 1984 when she was crowned Miss Northern California. From there she began a successful career as a high fashion runway model, working for top designers in Los Angeles, New York, and San Francisco. She studied acting at the acclaimed film acting school, Full Circle Productions in San Francisco. She then went through their teacher training program and became a successful acting coach. She has studied improvisation with Academy Award Winner Alan Arkin, learned the technique of “taking it off the page” with renowned acting coach Harold Guskin and Commedia Dell'arte at Tim Robbins theatre company, The Actors' Gang; there she played Katherine Driscoll in Bury The Dead which won an LA Critics award. Mary has been on House, The Hard Times of RJ Berger and most recently played Glenda in the feature film "Ashley" and Lola in "Green is Red" a short film that debuted at Cannes 2012. Mary has been in over 50 commercials. Recently she booked commercials for Overstock.com, DEX, Blue Cross-Blue Shield, VISA, The Nature Conservancy, Murad, along with 3 pilots & 6 independent films.*Mary has a national commercial running for OXYTROL FOR WOMAN!Mary works with leaders at Cisco on growing their executive presence and capacity for powerful public speaking.Mary has been teaching for over 15 years.
