Spanish politician, born February 5, 1939 in the French city of San Juan de Luz, where his family had moved following the Civil War. His father, Joseph Boyer, was a militant Republican Left, near Manuel Azaña. Maternal line comes from a family of liberal politicians including Amos Salvador, which was Minister of Finance and Tirso Rodrigáñez, governor of the Bank of Spain.
