Monica Pretelini - Biography
Mónica Pretelini was the 1st wife of Enrique Peña Nieto, former governor of the state of Mexico and later the 57th president of Mexico. The duo married in 1994 after dating for a couple of years. The love arose almost at first sight and the courtship of the pair lasted eight months, and contracted marriage the 12 of February of 1994 in the church of Santa Teresita, located in Lomas de Chapultepec, later to take step to the reception in the hotel Nikko. They have three children: Paulina, Alejandro and Nicole.
She studied History of Art, Philosophy and Humanism and Human Development. Pretelini played a supporting role during the campaign of Pena Nieto’s governorship. Monica and Enrique were together until the day of Pretelini's death in 2007.
Peña Nieto revealed that he "went like crazy asking for help, an ambulance arrived and they went to the Medical Center of Toluca, where the doctors managed to recover his vital signs, but at the time of the CT scan they found that he was brain dead."
