Parvati Patil is a student in the world of Harry Potter. Of apparent Indian descent, Parvati is in the same year as Harry and is a fellow Gryffindor. Parvati is the twin sister of Padma Patil.
In the movies, Parvati is mostly seen as a side-character seen in classes and around the halls of Hogwarts. She also accompanies Harry to the Yule Ball as his date in Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire.The character has been seen in the 3rd-6th Harry Potter movies. She has been played by two actresses to date. Sitara Shah first portrayed the character in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and has been portrayed by Shefali Chowdhury in the 4th-6th movies.
