Renato "Rene" Requiestas (January 22, 1957 – July 24, 1993) was a Filipino actor and comedian. Requiestas was one of the top Filipino comedians of the late 1980s up to the early 1990s. Requiestas was known for his sidekick roles alongside other comedy actors such as Joey de Leon and his pairing with Kris Aquino in romantic comedies, as well as his distinctive gaunt, toothless appearance.
Rene, who worked as a construction worker and cigarette vendor, has been working as a major actor and has been a love-team of Kris Aquino in the series "Pido Dida". Joey de Leon became sidekick in "Starzan", where Rene's funny character "Cheeta-eh."
He was an actor and writer, known for Cheeta-eh: Ganda lalake? (1991), Elvis & James (1989) and Salawahan (1979).
