Robert Axelrod - Biography
Robert Axelrod (born May 29, 1949) is an American actor who has been in several movies and lent his voice to television shows including Digimon, having started vocal acting for the English-language versions of Japanese cartoons in 1980. Two of his best known roles was that of Lord Zedd, the main antagonist of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, and Finster, the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers monster maker. He also portrayed a Paul McCartney look-alike on the popular sitcom, Family Matters, and more recently has appeared in several productions by Tim and Eric.
He was born and raised in New York City, and started acting in commercials and theater as a child. He then played as a guitarist in the early 1970s before returning to acting as a voiceover artist in the early 1980s. Mobile Monicker Productions noted that he voiced over 150 characters.
Robert was a well-known guitarist in the early '70s, playing folk rock and soul. He was also a singer before become a famous voice-over actor.
