Tate Mcrae - Biography
Tate McRae, born on July 1st, 2003 is an 12 year singer, dancer and actress from Calgary, Canada. From the time she was a toddler Tate loved to perform for people. Her mom owned a studio, so Tate spent her first 2 years watching classes. In 2005 her family moved to Muscat, Oman where they spent 3 years enjoying the culture and traveling as much as they could. Tate tried a "ballet" class, but came to realize that she was not ready for structure. In 2009, when the family was back in Canada, Tate enrolled in her first class. Two years later at the age of 8, she attended her first Nationals in NYC and was hooked! She returned the following year and won Mini Best Dancer at the Dance Awards in NYC in 2013.Tate is currently a full time student at the School of Alberta Ballet in the Professional Division and also trains with the YYC Dance Project. This year she won the silver medal at the Finals at YAGP in NYC. Tate can also be seen in the Rule The World video for the band Walk Off the Earth. She is a Capezio Sponsored Athlete. When she is not dancing she is singing or acting. Her voice can be heard as Spot in the Lalaloopsy Series on Nickelodeon. Tate just returned from NYC in July and won Junior Best Dancer at The Dance Awards in NYC.
