Tim Aitchison - Biography
Tim Aitchison (Timothy John Aitchison) was the husband of June Whitfield. June Whitfield was an English radio, television and film actress. Her big break was a lead in the BBC Light Programme radio comedy Take It from Here from 1953. Television roles soon followed, including appearances with Tony Hancock throughout his television career.
They got married in 1955. Tim was working as a surveyor at the time. The couple had a daughter, Suzy (born 4 June 1960), who became an actress.
Susan Jane Aitchison (born 4 June 1960) is an English television actress best known for her role as Susie on Jam & Jerusalem. She graduated from the University of Birmingham with a degree in Drama & Theatre Arts. After working extensively in theatre, her mother put her in touch with Jennifer Saunders.
