Tracy Trinita is one of Indonesian model pioneers who successfully went international and inspired other Indonesian models including the famous Fahrani Empel to follow her step. Her inimitable face and cat eyes that have attracted designers are of Indonesian (Dayak & Minahasan ethnics)-Brazilian (Portuguese & native) mixture heritage from her parents.Born in Surabaya, East Java, Tracy spent most of her life in paradise island Bali. The first child of 3 siblings was raised in a vibe multicultural family that brought her a wide experience as a citizen of the world. Ever since little girl, Tracy has taken journey between Bali –her mother’s place, Rio de Janeiro Brazil –her father’s homeland, and Australia –her stepfather’s homeland. However, little Tracy grew up as a very shy poetic tall girl who loves nature, the beach, the sun, the sand, and the ocean. When Tracy was just 13, she stood 175cm-tall and looked like a giant with peculiar face among her friends. Because of that Tracy always felt awkward and stoop-shouldered for hiding her height. Her attentive mother tried to improve the lack of self-confident by enrolling Tracy to a national model competition ‘Mode Cover Girl’ in 1995 secretly. Although Tracy felt perforce, it was a surprise she came up as the winner. The editor of Mode Magazine who had strong conviction on Tracy’s hidden potency then registered the girl into the international Elite`s Look of the Year competition 1995 in Paris, France. Tracy competed in Asia selection and won, and became Asian representative for the semifinal in Paris, competing with 77 models from 65 countries. The 14 years old girl flown to Paris alone without knowing what she would go through. Looking back at her experience, Tracy told it was first devastated and ended with big surprise. She recalled she didn’t know anyone at the airport and had to wait for 2 hours before someone picking her up. The next day Tracy woke up late and rushed to the audition hall. When she arrived, she saw no one in the hall and thought she’s been deceived. So then Tracy took the lift down, wept and murmured in Portuguese because she didn’t want the man next to her understood what she said. The first surprise: he understood, and asked what he could do to help her. Second one: Tracy was not late, in fact she came earlier because she set her wrist-watch wrong time zone and hence she was the first person who came. And third one: just on stage she found out the man was one of the judges. But the biggest surprise for Tracy was when she became the finalist and placed Top 7 in Elite’s Look of the Year 1995.Thanks to the competition, the three-lingual girl signed 2 contracts with New York and Paris modeling agencies. Tracy left school and stayed in New York alone, learning to be an independent and confident girl. However, thinking the importance of education, she managed to get high school diploma through private school via internet. After starring in Spiewak`s campaign, her dark complexion has gained favor among the industry`s most established magazines in France and America such as Vogue, Cosmopolitan, Madame Vigaro, and Harper’s Bazaar. Her exotic face often appeared in the world’s famous haute couture fashion shows and she starred in some international ads such as Mango Spain, Iman Cosmetic and Benetton. Eight years of career in New York and Paris, the C.S Lewis devotee felt she had enough and decided to leave for Indonesia in 2003. Such a deplorable decision may it seem, yet Tracy admitted she’s satisfied with the experience in modeling and would try other new things before she died. Back to Indonesia the humble girl and her friends created an event organizer namely Lunar Entertainment. With Lunar Entertainment Tracy has successfully brought Missy Elliot and Bryan McKnight concerts to Indonesia. The religious girl also brought Christian musicians like Don Moen and Delarius for Christian services. Besides event organizer, she opened a boutique as well under her name in Denpasar, Bali as her passion towards fashion world. Having big compassion towards others, the big heart Tracy also actives in lots of social affiliations, from anti-drugs campaigns, helping disabled people and poor children, to become the ambassador for World Health Organization (WHO) and campaigning anti tobacco among youths.In 2006 Tracy received the scholarship from Oxford University in Christian Apologetic. As she wrote in her website, she will spend 3 years of full academic year in the inspiring surroundings of Oxford University; enjoy the stimulation of a challenging academic program with the opportunity to sharpen apologetic and evangelistic skills. The full-time program is an excellent next step for those who feel called into apologetic ministry. Some people regret the choice to explore her religious side, but many of them support this wholesome decision. Tracy is doing what she believes just like her favorite words: lose what you cannot keep, gain what you cannot lose. Tracy is a star who sees what most important for life further than material.
