Carmen Soriano is a Filipino singer, actress and beauty queen who was born on July 6, 1947. Although primarily known as a singer, Carmen Soriano also starred in a few romantic dramas in the ’60s. One of them is Love and Devotion (1967), a follow-up to Somewhere My Love, with Arnold Mendoza as leading man in both films.
Actually, Carmen started her acting career with LVN in the ’50s as a teenager. She still appears every now and then in TV soaps.
But of course, her fame is anchored on her singing prowess — recording artist, nightclub performer and TV musical host.
