Chad Rehmann - Biography
Birth Name Chad McDaniel RehmannBorn and raised in St. Johns, Michigan, Rehmann's talent was first recognized on the national level when, at the age of 18, he was one of two composers chosen to receive the National Foundation for Advancement in the Art Award. He soon after began his undergraduate studies in Composition and Music Theory at Michigan State University. Only months away from obtaining his degree, Rehmann was selected from a national pool of applicants to participate in the NYU/ASCAP Buddy Baker Film Scoring Workshop in New York. While attending this workshop, Rehmann received word that he had also been chosen as one of twenty finalists for the Young Film Composer Competition, sponsored by Turner Classic Movies.After attaining this level of recognition, Rehmann graduated and made the decision to move to Los Angeles to begin work as a film and television composer. He was hired for his first production in less than two months, and his career hasn't slowed down since. Most notably, his credits include the award-winning independent film Everyman's War, as well as ABC Family's The Dog Who Saved... series. In 2011, Rehmann was honored with The ASCAP Foundation David Rose Centennial Award for, "...excellence and talent in the field of television and film music composition."Rehmann currently resides in Los Angeles with his high school sweetheart, whom he married in 2003, and their two young children.
