Ebba Hultkvist - Biography
Ebba Johanna Birgitta Hultkvist (born 26 September 1983) is a Swedish actress. She played Wilma, the teenage daughter, in the TV series Skärgårdsdoktorn. Since then, she has starred in a few movies and the second season of the celebrity dance show Let's Dance. Ebba was voted off Let's Dance on the 9th of March 2007.
She applied originally for a part in Jerusalem (1996) but didn't get it. Instead someone remembered the skills of the young girl and contracted her for "Skärgårdsdoktorn" (1997). Other than Skärgårdsdoktorn, she is known for Festival (2001), Detaljer (2003) and En förälskelse (2001).
Skärgårdsdoktorn is a Swedish television series produced by SVT Drama. The series ran from 1997 to 2000 and a total of 18 episodes were produced. In English, the title could be translated as The archipelago doctor, and it came to be one of the most popular Swedish TV series of the 1990s, and with its average viewership of approximately 2.5 million it is considered one of the greatest successes of SVT Drama. Created by Lars Bill Lundholm and Gunilla Linn Persson, the first 8 episodes were directed by Martin Asphaug. The series was also broadcast in Norway, Finland and Denmark.
