She is married to Tristan Sturrock. They have two children.Her Coronation Street (1960) character Lucy Barlow became the 17th woman on the soap opera to give birth. Lucy had a son Simon (played originally by Jake Hartley and Oscar Hartley' and later Alex Bain), born on 3 July 2003.
