Lydia was the second of their two children together. Her ancestry includes Jamaican, Guyanese, and Chinese.Lydia became involved in acting during high school, when she landed a principal role in the school's production of 'Da Kink in My Hair; she went on to attend the University of Windsor, where she graduated with honors with a degree in Dramatic Art.
