Never Shout Never - Biography
Never Shout Never is an American indie rock band formed in Joplin, Missouri in 2007. The band currently consists of vocalist and guitarist Christofer Drew, bassist Taylor MacFee, and drummer Hayden Kaiser. They have released five full-lengh albums and nine EPs. The name "Never Shout Never" originally referred exclusively to Christofer Drew until the touring band, previously referred to as "The Shout", joined Drew to form "Never Shout Never" as a band with Drew as front man.
Christofer Drew Ingle began making music under the alias nevershoutnever! in 2007 (age 16). His first exposure came through the internet, where he achieved success on Myspace before issuing the extended play, The Yippee EP on July 29, 2008. On July 30, 2008, he was featured on TRL, where he performed his single "Bigcitydreams". He toured with Hellogoodbye and Ace Enders in the fall of 2008.
Never Shout Never performed during the 2017 Warped Tour, playing songs from their earlier albums before going on the Throwback Tour, a tour that lasted throughout 2017 where they played songs from early albums that they announced likely wouldn't be played again for a while.
On March 23, 2018, the band released a cover of Elvis Presley's "Love Me Tender" on their upcoming cover album "All for Love" composed entirely of covers of love songs. On April 2, they released their cover of the Beatles' "Something".
Chris Drew officially stated on December 26, 2018 that the band is retired.
After the shows in Brazil & Mexico next month NSN will be done. Thank you all. It was truly a magical journey that me and everyone involved will never forget. #NeverShoutNeverRIP
