Sandy Dempsey (April 11, 1949 – May 24, 1975) was an adult movie actress during the early 1970s. She is a member of the XRCO Hall of Fame. The XRCO Hall of Fame lists some of the most notable adult entertainment works and workers. The list is managed by X-Rated Critics Organization and inducted annually during the XRCO Awards. The first XRCO Awards were presented in Hollywood on February 14, 1985. Inductees must have been industry members for at least ten years.
She starred in some of the seminal flicks in the genre, never disappointing fans as she bumped and grinded her way right into their every erotic dream. As the industry began to move away from loop-style grinders, Sandy Dempsey moved right along with it and began working steadily in full-fledged hardcore. Sandy Dempsey appeared in such classic early vehicles as 1973's "Johnny Wadd" and "Oriental Ecstasy Girls." Perhaps her best-known feature is 1974's "Swinging Cheerleaders,".
She died in a boating accident in the Gulf of Mexico, shortly after retiring from the adult film industry, in 1975.
