Sydney Wade - Biography
Sydney Wade is an English child actress from Leeds, West Yorkshire, best known for her role in the 2011 ITV supernatural drama series Marchlands, as Amy Maynard. Her first acting roles were in the 2009 British sports drama film The Damned United, where she played Brian Clough's daughter Elizabeth, and in the 2010 film Curio, where she played Emily. Marchlands aired in early 2011, and Wade played Amy Maynard. In 2011, she appeared in the two-part series 6 opener of the long-running British science-fiction television drama series Doctor Who, in the episodes The Impossible Astronaut and Day of the Moon, as the mysterious little girl who began the regeneration cycle at the end of the second episode. Her character was revealled to have been the younger version of River Song. Wade has twice worked alongside Alex Kingston, in Marchlands, and in Doctor Who. Wade was born in Leeds, West Yorkshire, where she lives with her family. She is currently a year 4 pupil at her local primary school.
