Tara Cummins - Biography
Born 19 December, 1979 in Wichita, Kansas, Tara Cummins was raised in Houston, Texas and attended Emporia State University, where she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 2003. After studying abroad in Utrecht, the Netherlands, Tara made the decision to begin travelling abroad after completing her study.Tara has performed in multiple stage, film, and television productions. Now a resident of Utrecht, the Netherlands, her most recent experience has been as the host of a live interactive television program, Play2Win. Airing on weeknights in the United States and weekends in Canada, Play2Win gave Tara her first opportunity as the host of a nationally aired program in North America. Coinciding with this program, Tara was also the host of multiple pilots and showreel materials, such as Wazooh!, Quizzive, Soap Quiz, Game of the Day,and TextTime.Not only an experienced television presenter, Tara is also an accomplished actress and singer. In March of 2008 she can be seen in Amsterdam with the Queen’s English Theatre Co. performing as Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors, and performing at Carré in Carré's Gospel Celebration. Her previous stage credits include Beauty and the Beast, Smokey Joe’s Café, The Sound of Music, Laughter on the 23rd Floor, The Matchmaker, and the title role in The Diary of Anne Frank. During her time as a student, she also gained recognition as a KC/ACTF regional finalist in 2000. Recently gaining valuable experience as a voiceover actress, Tara has been the voice of commercials and productions by Snack-a-Jacks, Grazia, Big Orange Music, and MetropolisFilm.
