Tim Curry - Biography
Timothy Charles Curry, 63 of Austin died suddenly Saturday. He graduated from Midland Lee High School in Midland, Texas 1970. He graduated from Huston-Tillotson College May 1982. He was a renowned actor, musician, singer, and recording artist. He was a lead singer in the music ministry of Tarrytown United Methodist church & Wesley United Methodist Church. He played in many productions at Zach Theater, his last was "The Gospel at Colonus." He was currently working on a recording project "Dreams From God" that will be completed very soon and made available to the public. Visitation and flowers can be sent Friday, February 13, 2015 to Wesley United Methodist Church, 1164 San Bernard Street, Austin, TX 78702. The celebration service will be Saturday, February 14, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at St. James Baptist Church, 3417 E Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd Austin, TX 78721 where flowers can be sent on this day under the auspices of Wesley UMC, Tarrytown UMC and musical participants from around the world, including Bill & Renee Morris who Tim sung with at the World of Pentecost Church, Vickie Winan, Crystal Rucker and others. It is requested that participates wear Tim's favorite colors to the service: burnt orange/brown. Memorial donations can be made in memory of Timothy Charles Curry to One Way Resonate Ministry, 15000 Hog Eye Road, Manor, TX 78653. These contributions will help to complete his last musical project and final earthly expenses. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. He is survived by his children, Timothy Charles "Woney" Curry, II, and Sherri Michell Curry; siblings, Hazel Lathon Griffin, Annie Lathon, and Eardie Curry, Jr. (Earnestine); nieces, Sandra Barber (Mike), and April Jordon (Ray); and nephew, James Griffin.
