Barbara Rudnik - Biography

Barbara Rudnik (27 July 1958 – 23 May 2009) was a German actress.
After finishing Realschule (high school) she worked as book club agent. Her job led her to Munich, where she was discovered as an actress by students of the academy for film and theater. In 1978 she started her education in the Zinner film studio, her first part was the leading role in Nightfall (1981), which was presented 1982 in Cannes. Since then she appeared in various other well known German productions. Some of her fame may be due to the fact that she isn't shy to reveal much in erotic scenes in her films.

In 1994, Rudnik played in the ZDF series Die Stadtindianer and 1995, including in Blumenberg crime scene episode A surefire trap. The role of Sabine Amman in 1995 brought next to Götz George in The Sandman, 1996, the mother Elisabeth under the direction of Nico Hofmann in the television remake of the classic produced by Bernd Eichinger It happened in broad daylight and in 1998 the role of Johanna Steinmann, again on the side of Götz George, in solo for clarinet, again directed by Nico Hofman.
Their roles in Dennis Satin's Old Friendship and in Michael Steinke's Das Bombenspiel from the ZDF series A strong team attracted attention. She then made a creature movie for RTL with the production Das Biest im Bodensee, in which for the first time the title role was completely created in the computer. As a hypothermic forensic physician she acted in addition to the rustic Commissioner Harry Voss ( Michael Mendl ) in Bodo Fürnisens television thriller Dangerous Truth (1999) to a pharmaceutical scandal.
