David Keith Jones - Biography
David began musical life with a choir in Bargoed, Wales. He attended Lewis' School Pengam with (Lord) Neil Kinnock and played in a band. David began download recording in 2010 and gained a million hits on You Tube by 2011. Vocals and backing range from opera to jazz, including Arie Antiche and Schubert plus Gershwin, Richard Rodgers and musicals.David began vocal training at university and sang in light operas. He then played Jack Worthing in Oscar Wilde’s ‘The Importance of being Earnest’. Later coached by Gerald Davies, former principal tenor at Sadlers Wells, David led an opera group in St Albans where roles included Don Jose, Turiddu, Rodolfo plus G&S.; He sang the role of Elgar’s Gerontius and in Handel's Messiah. Play roles since 2000 include Aykbourn's Gosforth. David's albums often reflect his stage performances. He has recorded work by G&S;, Novello, Gershwin, Porter, Rodgers, Cahn, Ellington and Kern plus songs of several nations and languages.David lives in Milton Keynes, UK, with his wife, the artist Jean Tatton Jones
