Eva Marcela Rodriguez - Biography

Eva Marcela was born and raised in Monterrey, Mexico. Eva is the middle of three daughters; she began her artistic career at the age of eleven when she attended the National Institute of Fine Arts, graduated with top distinction, honorable Mention. She has more than six years of experience in broadcasting media as a TV presenter and news anchor, as well as broadcast journalist and radio announcer. She began her career in 2004 when she discovered her role as a radio announcer, becoming the host and producer of two radio shows, achieving such success that eventually lead her to the television industry.In 2005, she obtained the bachelor degree in Information Sciences and Communications with Academic Excellence Distinction from the University of Monterrey. The same year, she was invited to start a career as a TV Host in TV Azteca Noreste, regional station affiliated to the Azteca7 network that also serves as Flagship station to the Northeastern states of Mexico and various cities in Texas. Some of the productions she participated in during that time, include: Main Anchor in magazine TV show 'Por Fin' Finally, music and celebrities TV show 'Especial Musical', and 'Destinos' Destinations, a weekly tourism show. Additionally, she contributed to the 'Daily Morning News' and 'Daily Evening News' editions of the station by presenting celebrities, music and the entertainment section. Due to her popularity with the audience and the high levels of rating, she was promoted to head anchor of the 'Daily Morning News', called 'Info 7' and also in its weekend version until the end of 2008 when she relocated to Mexico City. There, she was invited to be part of TV Azteca Mexico, the second largest TV station in the country and one of the most popular in Central and South America.Also in 2008, received the invitation to present the show 'Ganamania', an interactive game TV show, co-production of TV Azteca Mexico and ProsiebenSat1, one of Europe's leading media companies based in Germany. The positive perception and high ratings made her eventually the permanent host of this show, broad casted nationwide in Mexico by TV Azteca.In 2010 she was awarded a scholarship to obtain a Master in Communications and Media in Spain, where she also worked as a news correspondent to various TV News stations in Mexico, such as TVC News, national channel.Additionally, Eva studied dramatic arts and performance at the Casa Azul owned by Argos Comunicacion, a TV and Film production company. She has also participated in the fashion industry as a model, in TV and in print campaigns as well as institutional videos.Her studies and professional development have brought her to several countries, among those are Mexico, Spain and Germany. Eva enjoys dancing, music, reading and traveling.
