Gillian De Terville - Biography
Gillian De Terville is a model and actress, known for Octopussy (1983), Hideaway (1986) and The Price Is Right (1984).
De Terville was the first black Page 3 model for The Sun newspaper in the early 1980's. She left modelling in 1982 to become an actress, appearing as a Bond girl in Octopussy (1983) starring Roger Moore. Whilst in London filming Brazil (1985), American actor Robert De Niro saw a photograph of her in the newspaper. He managed to track down her, calling her at her parent's home in Sydenham where she lived.
Introducing himself as "Bob", it took several minutes for him to convince her it was not a hoax before inviting her to dinner. At the time he was seeing Toukie Smith but De Terville and De Niro continued meeting, becoming friends and later developing a romantic relationship.
