Giulia Occhini is also known as "La Dama Bianca". Giulia was the lover of the Cycling hero Fausto Coppi. The scandal first came out in August 1953 as he gave the flowers he recieved after the worls Championship to a Woman standing beside him. Fausto was already married to Bruna Ciampolini and Giulia was also married to Enrico Locatelli a friend of Fausto. The Friendship between Fausto and Giulia turn into love. An aggresive campaign was launched in Italy against Giulia Occhini, the Campionissimo (Fausto) and Giulia was even Jailed during the relationship for a few days, later she moved to Argentina to give bith to the couple's son Faustino. Faustino Coppi still lives in Novi Ligure and he became an architect. In Novi Ligure can be found the Villa Coppi, the house where Fausto lived foe many years.
