Jonathon Simmons - Biography
Jonathon Calvin Simmons (born September 14, 1989) is an American professional basketball player who currently plays for the San Antonio Spurs of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The 6'6" shooting guard played one season of Division I college basketball for the University of Houston before a stint in the semi-professional American Basketball League (ABL) led to him joining the NBA D-League's Austin Toros in 2013. After two seasons playing in the D-League, Simmons signed with the San Antonio Spurs after he impressed during the 2015 NBA Summer League.
