Larisa Lusta is called "The Diva of Russian crossover", the genre which combines different musical styles. It seems that genre boundaries don’t exist for her. Larisa’s repertoire includes compositions in different styles: from opera classics to modern rock - Russian romance to French chanson...She graduated from the St. Petersburg Conservatory named after N.A.Rimsky-Korsakov, and being a professional opera singer, Larisa can easily change from one vocal technique to another. The owner of a powerful voice with great range, Larisa is amazingly artistic, emotional and mysteriously attractive on the stage. She doesn't look for easy ways in music and she is not bound by the limits of one musical direction, day after day proving the right to be called one of the best singers in Russia.Francis Goya and Valeriy Leontyev, Lev Leschenko and Lubov Kazarnovskaya were delighted with her talent.... Lidiya Kareva, the sister of the legendary Galina Kareva, called Larisa Lusta her sister's “successor” and offered for Larisa to sing the solo recital devoted to Galina Kareva's 75th anniversary in the concert hall named after P.I.Tchaikovski in Moscow. Alla Bayanova called Larisa Lusta "the best young Russian romance performer".Paris applauded her and French people called Larisa «Russian Edit Piaf»... Larisa was awarded with the special prize of the Italian Music Fund (Bologna)... Her performances in the most prestigious concert halls of St. Petersburg and Moscow are always sell-outs, she tours all over Russia and Europe... She is in films, and the best photographers invite her in their photo projects.The recording of the singer's new album began in Finland at Helsinki Records Studio in the summer of 2008. The owner of the studio, Maki Kolehmainen offered Larisa a contract with his production center "Maki Kolehmainen Productions Oy Ltd". So started the new joint symphonic-rock project which was named "LARISA".In the beginning of winter 2008 the recording of her Russian album "Dances on coals" with Finnish rock musicians was finished. In January 2009 work on the expanded English version of the album (with new additional songs) began. Texts for the songs were written by the American author Tracy Lipp.The music on the new album is a combination of hard guitar riffs, powerful drums, symphonic orchestration and choirs with beautiful and intense vocals.In the summer of 2008 Larisa created her own orchestra called "Rock-classics". It is a unique team of sixty brilliant musicians, which is practically unique nowadays. Its exceptionality lies in the mixture of symphonic and rock sound. The talented arranger, composer and conductor Andrey Medvedev became the director of an orchestra.New album “Invisible Thread” was released on spring 2011. It was recorded with the Spanish pianist Pedro Alonzo Martinez and the ensemble “Tango Eterno” and it was dedicated to the ninetieth anniversary of the birth of Astor Piazzolla.Larisa Lusta has recorded 8 solo albums: "The Gold Collection" – chamber music of the XIX-XX-th centuries, "Musical Offering" – the collection devoted to the 300th anniversary of St.-Petersburg, "Our Meetings" – the collection of Russian romances, accompanied by Michael Aptekman, the album "Larisa Lusta and the quartet "Ma.Gr.Ig.Al", where collected different versions of classical compositions. "Necklace" – the double album in crossover style, "Dances on coals" – the album in symfo-rock style with the Finnish rock musicians, "LARISA" - the English expanded version of the album "Dances on coals" with the Finnish rock musicians, "The Invisible Thread" – collection of tango compositions by Astor Piazzolla and Russian romances.
