Marguerite Insolia - Biography

Marguerite Insolia grew up in a small town on the coast of Massachusetts with her younger brother, Alessandro, and their parents Suzanne and Francesco. Marguerite's mother was raised outside of Boston and is of Irish, Scottish, and French descent. Marguerite's father, Francesco, was born and raised in Italy.From an early age, Marguerite was a very expressive and creative child. When she was 7 years old, Marguerite played the Wicked Witch in her town's theatre production of Snow White and began modeling for her mother's boutique. At 18yrs old, she won the award for "Best National Commercial Print Model", and was asked to move to Asia and continue her modeling career. Instead, the academically inclined Marguerite, decided to finish high school; graduating with a 4.2 GPA and look forward to college.Marguerite enrolled at NYU and during her freshman year, made her film debut in a friend's project. She went on to act in a number of other Tisch film productions throughout college. Marguerite also studied abroad in Italy and continued modeling in both NYC and Europe. She graduated at the top of her class with honors and incredulously received 4 degrees from NYU in Art History, Photography, Religious Studies, and Italian.After receiving her diploma, Marguerite moved to Miami where she landed her first independent feature film and played the role of "Sister Marge"; a fighting nun. After wrapping the project, she packed her bags, her two cats and moved to Los Angeles to pursue her acting career.As an actress, Marguerite has trained with very prestigious teachers including Howard Fine, Sam Christensen, Amy Lyndon and David Coury. She has honed her improv and comedic skills through the Upright Citizen's Brigade, and is currently enrolled in The Groundlings.In just two years, Marguerite has landed 2 television pilots and 9 films, including her latest Starring role in the feature film "The Muse", set to be released in 2012. Its been a long journey from MA to CA, and its clear that Hollywood is ready to embrace it's next ingénue.
