Mathu Anderson - Biography
Mathu Andersen is a freelance makeup artist known for his work as a consultant and producer for RuPaul's Drag Race, as well as his work on This Is It (2009) and The RuPaul Show (1996). He is RuPaul's longtime creative collaborator and makeup artist.
In 2002, Mathu moved to Los Angeles where, in addition to continuing his fashion and artistic work, he has worked on music videos with artists like Janet Jackson, TLC, No Doubt, Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez, Garbage, Christina Aguilera, Nicole Scherzinger, Lisa Marie Presley, and Nicole Richie. Mathu worked several seasons of America’s Next Top Model, and was known for his work on RuPaul’s Drag Race. He was the creative producer and managed RuPaul’s image for the show.
Although Mathu has worked extensively in the world of make up, he has also taken the past couple of years to put more energy towards his work in photography and graphic design. His work with World of Wonder Productions has also allowed him to expand into other areas like writing, producing, film editing and generally being a part of pop culture in an interesting way.
