Mrs. Davis - Biography
Mrs. Davis is the mother of Karen and Aubrey .Mrs. DavisShe is extremely sick, coughing repeatedly, and never once in the film is seen out of bed. Since she obviously cannot go to Japan to search for Karen herself, she sends Aubrey to do the job for her. Mrs. Davis sees Karen as a far superior human being than Aubrey, and often makes rude comments to Aubrey, even during their final conversation together (before Aubrey's death) over the phone. Aubrey tells her that she loves her but cannot treat her that way anymore before her death in the Saeki house. She is one of only a few characters to never encounter the curse, but it is undecided if her illness killed her in the near future. Also, it is unknown if she knows about Aubrey's death. In the unrated ending the curse travels all the way to Pasadena to claim her, so it is unknown if she died of her sickness of Kayako . This would mean that the curse would also be spreading throughout California as well as Chicago
