Nova Villa - Biography
Novelita Villanueva Gallegos (born April 16, 1947), better known as Nova Villa, is a Filipino actress and a veteran comedienne. She is a former main-stay actress of ABS-CBN but later transferred to rival station GMA Network to pursue a series regular actress.
She played the role of Feliza "Fely" Malabaño in the 2018 comedy-drama Miss Granny which is also her first acting job as a lead in decades. Miss Granny is a 2018 Philippine comedy-drama film based on the South Korean film of the same name. It is directed by Joyce Bernal and stars Sarah Geronimo, James Reid, Xian Lim, and Nova Villa. It was released by Viva Films on August 22, 2018. It was the second most talked about Filipino film of 2018 on Twitter, only behind the reigning highest-grossing Filipino film of all-time The Hows of Us.
Villa's sister is the late Myrna Villanueva, also an actress and comedian better known by her screen name Tia Pusit.
She is often mistaken as wife of Freddie Webb, who played her husband in the 80s show "Chicks to Chicks", because her real-life husband also shares the same name, Freddie Gallegos.
