Ron Tingley - Biography
Tingley was a 6’2”, 160 lb. catcher from Presque Isle, ME. Born on May 27, 1959, he was drafted by the San Diego Padres in the 10th round of the 1977 amateur draft. He spent his first two professional seasons with the low-A Walla Walla Padres, in the Northwest League. In 64 games, he hit .197/.314/.260/.574, but he put up a .972 fielding percentage.
